DJ Zinhle opens up about co-parenting with AKA

DJ Zinhle and AKA have come a long way from their nasty split in 2015, with both personalities making a commitment to put their differences aside for Kairo.

Zinhle and AKA left Mzansi in a state of shock when she wrote a blog post detailing how she found out about the rapper’s affair a week before their daughter was born.

Despite their differences DJ Zinhle applauded AKA’s parenting and proudly called him a good dad.

“Co-parenting is going well. Kiernan and I are at a good stage and space in our lives. He’s very supportive and a good dad. We are different. He’s stricter than I am and I think Kairo enjoys the dynamic.

“Good co-parenting comes from a good relationship and it’s just about putting all your other differences aside and focusing on the child,” she told the Sowetan.

On Mother’s Day last month AKA also gushed over Zinhle, and they had lunch together as a family

“Thank you for giving birth to and helping me raise our superstar of a daughter,” he said at the time.

DJ Zinhle also told the publication that she was happy as a single woman and felt like relationships were too much pressure.

“I think we just put too much pressure on having a relationship. It’s worse for me because I’m that person that is never single. Living on my own has kind of spoilt me … I feel like it’s too stressful to be in a relationship,” she added.
