This comes after Osunlade’s Facebook post which called for an international boycott of South Africa by artists from around the world. Osunlade states that “I experienced racism far beyond that of America which I thought was impossible. Not only have blacks been trained to walk with their tails between their legs like well-trained monkeys”.
Osunlade openly states he will not be returning to support South Africa, a state he feels is still gripped by an ‘Apartheid’ like system of “white supremacy”.
His comments also did not sit well with US house songstress Monique Bingham, who said Osunlade “crossed a f***ing line”.
“HOMEBOY you left Jozi and went to PARIS LONDON AND AMSTERDAM – The architects of imperialism in Africa. Easy to grandstand and call for a boycott in a country where you aint been booked for ten years,” said Osunlade.
“I am a black woman who has been treated like shit in London, Paris AND New York; and has never been treated with such respect as I have been here in South Africa,” the songstress said.
