I didn’t try to kill my wife, says Mdu Masilela
Police have denied a case was opened and that Masilela appeared in court.

There is no truth to claims that former kwaito star Masilela had pulled a gun on his wife and fired shots into the air at their Sandton home, according to Move magazine.
About two weeks ago, it was reported that Masilela and his wife Sarah had a fight when he went to answer a call outside. When Sarah questioned him, Masilela is said to have told her that no one controls him and proceeded to fire several shots into the air, threatening to kill her.
Masilela and his wife told Move this wasn’t true and that they were ‘100% okay.’
“I was shocked by reports that my husband tried to kill me. I want to make it clear that nothing like that happened. We don’t know why such a story was ever written. Everything about Mdu trying to kill me was a lie,” said Sarah.
She added they were happy and people were trying to break up their home.
“I’m against women and children abuse so for me to be labelled an abuser is sad. Couples go throug their ups and downs in relationships but that doesn’t justify why men lay their hands on women or even threaten to kill them. Sarah and I are not perfect but I won’t go to the extent of trying to take her life,” said Masilela.
