Daniel Radcliffe comfortable with biopics

Daniel Radcliffe finds it easier playing a ”real person”.

The Kill Your Darlings actor stars as poet Allen Ginsberg in the new dramatic biopic, and he insisted while he prepared for the role much of his preparation was ”already done”.

Speaking at the premiere during London Film Festival last night, he said: ”I had two months, I think, to prepare the role. So I used all that time but I had never played a real person before, a historical figure. So, in a lot of ways it’s a blessing because a lot of the work is already done for you. So you just have to go back and read it.”

The Harry Potter star has previously warned that his fans may find some aspects of the movie surprising – particularly his gay sex scenes – although he insisted the intimate moments are more ”beautiful and tender” than ”graphic”.

He recently explained: ”It’s actually not graphic. You don’t actually see anything. What’s graphic is the emotion of the scene. It’s a very vulnerable, slightly afraid moment. It’s beautiful and tender as a consequence of that.”
