Netizens shared mixed reactions following a viral video of Rugby star Damian Willemse sharing that he was not planning to take off his Springbok kit anytime soon.
The Springbok‘s fullback said the kit reminded him that he is a “champion of all championships”.
He has since joined trending topics on X, formerly Twitter, as fans reacted. One comment read: “Damian Willemse is having so much fun. He probably doesn’t even know what day it is. The man is partying in the Springboks kit he wore at the World Cup Final in France, tattooed his butt cheek, and got the RG Snyman special. Our Jack Grealish!”

When the Springboks won the Rugby World Cup a few days ago, Damian took to Instagram to celebrate. He said he dedicated the win to his friend, Benje Momberg.
Benje Momberg, son of winemaker Ben Momberg, was shot in the spine by armed robbers at the Van Der Stel pub earlier this month and was left paralysed.
He wrote: “Thank you all for your incredible support and making this performance one to remember! I would like to dedicate this win to you my friend Benje. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your friends and family. Stay strong my bro!”
Also, to celebrate the win, the 25-year-old got the Webb Ellis Cup tattoo with 2019 and 2023 underneath it inked on his butt. His teammates, including Siya Kolisi, RG Snyman, and Bongi Mbonambi, also inked the Webb Ellis Cup tattoo.
“Yoh yoh if the Proteas win this World Cup, I’ll do a Damian Willemse and tattoo the flag, trophy, and the Webb Ellis on my a*s#,” a fan wrote on X.
