Common and Queen Latifah coming to Mzansi
Common and Queen Latifah will pay Durban a warm visit in July to support the call for sustained global funding to end HIV/Aids.

The international celebrities will headline the ‘Keep The Promise’ benefit concert to be held at the Kingsmead Stadium in Durban on July16. This will be the first time that Latifah will be paying Mzansi a visit, and the first time rapper Common will be performing to a South African audience.
“I am excited to be part of the ‘Keep The Promise’ Concert in Durban, South Africa. It’s my first time in South Africa and it feels good to be going for such a great cause,” Latifah said in statement
Local acts Mi Casa and Big Nuz are expected to perform at the concert, with Proverb and Ayanda-Allie Paine as MCs for the event.
Fifteen –years later, this International AIDS Conference, authorising advocacy platform, organised by the Aids Healthcare Foundation will return to South Africa.
The ‘Keep the Promise 2016’ rally and march will take place through the Durban CBD on Saturday July 16.
