Cici: ‘God stopped me from committing suicide’
It’s no secret that the past few months have been tough for singer, Cici who has been embroiled in a court battle with Arthur Mafokate over an alleged assault incident.

Cici laid charges against Arthur after an altercation between them allegedly turned violent. During the incident the songstress allegedly broke her pelvis, and had to undergo major surgery.
When it all got too much for Cici to handle, she revealed that she contemplated taking her own life.
The singer made the personal revelation while announcing the release of her new song, Amandla Akho.
“When I wrote this song I had contemplated taking my own life but God spoke to me and said I take you through troubled waters because I know the enemy can’t swim… if you’re going through something right now here is a message of hope,” she wrote.
During an interview with Gagasi FM earlier this year, Cici said she decided to speak out about the alleged abuse to encourage others to do the same.
“Before being an artist. I am human. I saw no shame in saying this is what happened to me. I need to show people that they must speak up for themselves. So that someone could also get to a point where they say, ‘I am worth more that this person has downgraded me to be’,” she said.
