Ciara gets engaged to Future

Ciara has got engaged. The 28-year-old singer-songwriter is set to tie the knot with her boyfriend Future who she confirmed she was dating in January after he popped the question to her with a 15-carat diamond ring.

The 29-year-old rapper got down on one knee during the award-winning star’s birthday celebrations over the weekend in New York City, according to their publicist Chris Chambers.

A date for the wedding is yet to be set. Future real name is Nayvadius Cash is currently in the middle of a tour with Drake, but took time away from his busy schedule to surprise his girlfriend with the huge sparkler.

Future’s private life has been the subject of much interest in the last couple of years after it emerged he fathered a son with Jessica Smith in 2001.

Last year, she filed for child support after a DNA test confirmed he was the boy’s father, and he was ordered to pay $1,662 in child support every month.

Since then, Future has been accused of fathering another child who was born on December 4, 2012 but nothing has yet been proven.
