Charlize Theron – ‘Kim Kardashian has more value than Meryl Streep’
Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron made an honest reflection on where Hollywood stands and the power shift of the biggest influencers in the industry.

During an interview for The Hollywood Reporter, actress and producer, Charlize Theron talked about where her career is currently and how it has changed over the years.
‘Fame levels’ has changed
Theron said the age of the movie star has changed including the levels of fame and what grabs people’s attention.
“We are living in a time of reality television, and God knows I love me some reality TV.
“So, the marketplace of what Kim Kardashian represents – and not in a negative way because I watch everything that she does, that has way more value than what Meryl Streep, one of the greatest actresses working does. And that’s just the truth.”
Explaining her point of view, Theron said stars like Kardashian have different skills and for them having access to the industry is much easier.
The star also admitted her “currency” had changed as she isn’t able to get some movie projects as she did previously.

The mother of two adopted children said they are her biggest priority. Theron lives with her mother Gerda, who helps raise her children and run the household whilst she’s away working.
“It’s my life and I want to participate in it. I love being a mom more than I like being an actor or a producer.
I never thought I would say that.”
If she was given an ultimatum to pick one, either being an actor or a mother, Theron says it would be easy to pick – being a mother – as it’s a “no-brainer for me”.
Afrikaans controversy
Last month, Theron had South Africa in stitches when she commented that only 44 people speak Afrikaans and that it was a dying language.
While it’s still unclear exactly what Theron aimed to achieve with this comment, and whether she meant it as a joke, some South Africans did not take well to the Bombshell actress dissing their mother tongue.
