Actor Charlie will reportedly sit for an interview with Today show presenter Matt Lauer for “a revealing personal announcement” about his HIV status.
This comes after week-long speculations in the media about a Hollywood actor with HIV “causing panic” within the industry.
The interview is expected to air on Tuesday morning in the US.
Sheen was born Carlos Irwin Estévez in New York City on September 3, 1965. He featured in films such The Three Musketeers, Money Talks and Being John Malkovich.
Sheen became a household name in his role as ‘Charlie Harper’ in the hugely successful CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men, but he was fired from the show in March 2011 after a battle with drugs and alcohol and was replaced by Ashton Kutcher.
