Celebs who recently tied the knot

It has become more difficult to keep up with celeb weddings and pregnancy news, as many are increasingly becoming private affairs. However, there are a few who have been generous enough to share their beautiful news with us on their social media. In the past two weeks, there have been weddings, pregnancies and marriage proposals in Mzansi and internationally.

Here are a few we’ve heard of:

Nandi and Zakes Bantwini

After years and years of silence, the couple finally opened up about their marriage and bundle of joy. Taking to Instagram, Zakes posted a picture of himself and his wife Nandi at their maternity photoshoot.

He wrote: “I have so much to celebrate … My marriage, Our pregnancy, God has truly blessed me this year. More than 3years ago of being in a relationship my wife and I decided to make our relationship private and not make a career out of our relationship. Now that we’ve cleared the air, myself and my beautiful wife ask that we be given some privacy and respect to continue to enjoy this new chapter in our lives together.”

Clint Brink and Steffi van Wyk

After proposing in July, actor Clint Brink married his Namibian model sweetheart Steffi van Wyk in August. The couple have been sharing snaps of each other on social media since, with Clint telling his fans that he definitely is happily married.

Kevin Hart and Eniko Parrish

Comedian and actor Kevin Hart has finally married his actor wife Eniko Parrish on the weekend after dating for the longest time. The couple got engaged in August 2014 and have been going stronger since. Though his marriage to ex-wife ended with a messy divorce, Torrei Hart took to Instagram to congratulate her ex-husband on his marriage, telling them to “keep God first first”.

Ray J and Princess Love

The stars, whose relationship has been featured on VH1’s Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood tied the knot on Friday. The rapper’s sister, Brandy, was a bridesmaid while The Game was a groomsman.

Mshoza is engaged

Nomasonto Maswanganyi, popularly known as Mshoza, has been the talk of the media since her messy divorce from businessman Jacob Mnisi. The divorce was fuelled with rumours of abuse and cheating scandals.

It seems the singer has moved on from all that as her PR manager Xolile Sonamzi recently told The Citizen she is engaged. The Kortez singer is set to get married to her current partner this year. Read more here.

Israel Houghton and Adrienne Bailon

The couple have been surrounded by controversy, with most assuming Bailon was the woman Houghton cheated on his ex-wife with. Houghton took to Facebook early this year to announce his divorce from his wife. He said the two had been working on their marriage for a while before they decided to call it quits.

Taking to Instagram, he posted a picture of the I’m In Love With A Church Girl’s left hand with a huge diamond engagement ring. “I pray God give me that same grace in my life. I’ve taken a giant leap of faith in asking her to share life with me forever and to give me a shot at getting it right this time… She has graciously granted my request… She said yes. Thanks Be To God. Thank you @adriennebailon for graciously loving me,” he wrote.
