Camilla Crawford is reaching for the stars

The South African entertainment scene is miniscule in comparison with the rest of the world.

It’s really a training ground for artists to discover their talents and develop them before flying away into the great abyss, where only the hard working and dedicated survive.

Camilla Crawford grew up in Johannesburg with the dream of becoming an internationally acclaimed singer and actress. She practiced every day after school, perfecting her skills in singing, acting and dancing.

After finishing matric, she bought herself a one-way ticket to New York and studied musical theatre and acting at the New York Film Academy after receiving a scholarship at the Applause Rising Talent Showcase. According to her website, Crawford is classical, contemporary and rock singer, as well as a comedic and dramatic actress.
