Media personality Katlego Maboe’s former partner Monique Muller has found love once again.

Maboe’s relationship with Muller has been in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons due to their highly publicised break-up which is still of much interest to some.

Last week, Maboe’s friend Sipeto Loyiso Ganca defended him in a Twitter thread making allegations that Muller was toxic and possessive in the relationship.

While Muller is putting aside the ongoing public opinion about her, she shared the happy news that she has a new boyfriend.

She didn’t reveal who this new man is, as she has blurred out his face in many pictures she posted.

Posting her new partner, she wrote: “She’s happy…Now leave her alone lol.”

Muller may have also “clapped back” at claims made by Ganca who detailed alleged incidents, such as Muller threatening to leave Maboe with their son if he boards a plane to a work trip in Ukraine.

He also suggested that Muller may have lied about contracting a sexually transmitted infection (STI) in that infamous video where Maboe admitted to having cheated. Ganca also claimed Maboe expressed he was being policed about his whereabouts and the type of friends he had when he was with Muller.

Muller posted: “When it upsets them that you’re succeeding, work harder and succeed some more… *sips tea*. “

Maboe and Muller welcomed their son in 2018 and broke up in 2020. Their break-up has been nothing short of being tumultuous, with endless court battles to Maboe threatening to take Muller and gender-based violence organisations to court if they do not apologise for his “reputational damage.”

In September, Maboe sent out legal letters demanding R1 million in compensation from four parties who he believes have ruined his career after it was claimed that he was physically abusive to Muller.

The four parties included Muller, her brother Seth Muller, chairperson of Women for Change, Sabrina Walter, and Dr Janet van Eeden, chairperson of the judges for the National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), which is responsible for organising the South African Film and Television Awards (Saftas).
