Bongani Fassie disses AKA, Slikour, Cassper Nyovest

Lately, the Twitterverse has been receiving beef in abundance, with celebrities throwing jabs at each other.

AKA is not new to this beef thing as he always says controversial things about other artists, specifically Cassper Nyovest. The latest one, however, involved AKA and Black Coffee, with AKA accusing Black Coffee for comparing South African hip hop artists with Americans. Black Coffee said SA’s artists should stop throwing shade at each other and release tracks, just like Drake and Meek Mill did.

Other hip hop artists got involved, with Cassper Nyovest saying AKA should be humble, something he always says.

One other artist, Slikour, wrote a full article on his blog, taking AKA’s side, saying Black Coffee should not compare artists and that South African hip hop artists do work hard to make their music.

Everything went quiet for a while, until Bongani Fassie, the late Brenda Fassie’s son, came to the picture. It has been reported that the musician took Black Coffee’s advice and released a diss track, with AKA, Cassper Nyovest, Slikour, among others, as subjects.

The Twitterverse was surprised at such an unexpected development, with many questioning the musician’s involvement. Some dissed him back, saying he was trying to be relevant as he has been out of the music scene for a long time.

Listen to the track here.
