If there’s anybody who knows how to bounce back from a breakup, it’s Bonang Matheba.

While her ex-boyfriend, AKA, has admitted to feeling a lot of pain in the aftermath of their split, Bonang has looked completely unfazed.

In fact, you might even argue that she looks even happier now that she’s single again.

If you’re currently going through a breakup, here are a few tips from Queen B herself on how to achieve the perfect post-breakup glow.

Travel

Bonang kicked off her post-breakup tour with a trip to Lagos, Nigeria.

Nothing fixes a broken heart quicker than a change of scenery. Bonang announced her arrival in Lagos with this saucy shot.

Quality time with your nearest and dearest

Your friends are going to be crucial to your recovery, especially in the first few weeks following the breakup.

While in Lagos, Bonang spent some time with old friend and fellow media queen, Toke Makinwa.

Revenge body

Hitting the gym after a breakup is great for many reasons. It distracts you from the pain of your heartbreak, and improves your mood.

Oh, and your body will look even better by the end of each session.

Remind your ex what they are missing

Pick a day when you’re looking especially cute, and then give your ex a little teaser of what he/she let go. You know they’ll be watching.

Smile – you’re beautiful!

The post-breakup glow is incomplete without a smile! Allow everyone in your life to see how happy you are, ska ba hemisa!

Ignore the haters

Bonang is used to being a talking topic, but she’s just as used to having to filter out the noise from the truth.

As we saw during the split, she was unbothered by both the comments in the tabloids and those made by her ex.

Keep them guessing

Nothing will drive your ex crazier than wondering: “Has she moved on already?”

For those wondering, the man in this picture is not her new bae; he’s Bonang’s hairstylist. But the desired effect will no doubt be achieved.

Remind everybody who is boss

When all is said and done, you need to own your throne.

Breakups are difficult, but real royalty will adjust its crown and move on – just like the Queen has done.
