Bonang still promoting BNG despite pending legal battle with CSA

It seems nothing is stopping Bonang Matheba from supporting her MCC, House of BNG, despite a pending legal battle.

The drama of who owns BNG started last week after Bonang made a “disturbing” announcement on Twitter Spaces, saying she was parting ways with renowned management agency Celebrity Services Africa (CSA).

The presenter alleged that her business relationship with CSA had soured and claimed the agency was acting, in some instances, on her behalf without her knowledge.

The ongoing feud seems to be far from ending, with IOL reporting that CSA claimed that they were integral in creating and developing BNG and that the copyright and trademark of the MCC is owned by them.

Things got even uglier when CSA claimed Bonang was in breach of multiple contracts “with various clients as she has been derelict to these brands and indeed her own for the past six months”, the firm claimed on Twitter.

However, it seems Bonang is still front and centre in promoting BNG. She recently posted a new partnership the brand has entered into for an event in Johannesburg.

Recently, the luxury alcoholic beverage celebrated its second birthday.

CSA represents multiple celebrities such as Nigerian musician Dbanj and Oscar-nominated actor Djimon Hounsou. The last time the agency promoted Bonang was for the announcement that BNG was now being sold at Checkers from April 2021.

CSA says they hope there will be an amicable solution and said Matheba’s legal team have advised they are in discussions regarding the decision to exit the business venture.
