Rapper Big Zulu has pleaded with the infamous parody account holder of Man’s NOT Barry Roux on X, formerly Twitter, to remove a post that insinuates that he was marrying another man.
The trolling of celebrities is nothing new, so much so that celebs don’t even pay it any attention. But once the trolls threaten their loved ones, things get serious.
This was the case as Big Zulu, whose real name is Siyabonga Nene pleaded with @AdvoBarryRoux – not to be mistaken with the lawyer Advocate Roux – who was Oscar Pistorius’ representative.
The post shared by the anonymous account holder, was of an unknown couple of two guys tying the knot. One of the grooms has dreadlocks, in a similar style to that of Big Zulu. The post is captioned: “Love is a beautiful thing. Nkabi Nation.”
The photo has been doing the rounds on social media for a while, with the identities of the couple getting married still unknown.
Inkabi Nation is an album Big Zulu, Xowla, Siya Ntuli, Mduduzi Ncube and Lwah Ndlunkulu, released under Nkabi Records that is owned by Big Zulu.
‘Nkabi’ is the Zulu word for assassin or hitman. The term has been associated with Big Zulu ever since he came onto the mainstream music scene. Inkabi Zezwe is a South African duo composed of Sjava and Big Zulu.

“This is blaspheming my name. Please respect me, because I am where I am today because of the respect I have for others,” wrote Big Zulu in his plea, in isiZulu.
“I’m a man, who is also raising kids and they won’t feel well when they see what you posted. I have a family that I ask you to respect, even if you don’t respect me that’s not a problem.”
But responding to Big Zulu, one social media user advised the rapper from KZN to not waste his time trying to convince a troll to remove the post.
“Don’t waste your time brother. You should know and accept that as a celeb, you can’t dictate how people feel about you especially here on social media,” said @Mafika_TM.
“I hear you clearly, but our families and children feel it,” responded Big Zulu.
Last month, controversial author Jackie Phamotse was found guilty by the Randburg Magistrate’s Court of defamation, crimen injuria and contempt of court.
In 2018 Phamotse tweeted about an alleged sex tape that social media users concluded involved power couple Romeo and Basetsana Kumalo and a boy celebrity. The couple took legal action against the author.
After judgement was handed down, the Kumalos pleaded with South Africans to “exercise extreme caution when using social media platforms.”
“We wish to appeal to South Africans to exercise extreme caution when using social media platforms, to at least desist from bullying, making false claims and defamatory remarks about other fellow citizens,” Romeo and Basetsana said in a statement at the time.
“Social media remains a powerful avenue through which we can empower and educate each other. It is, therefore critical that it is not used as an outlet to defame, disparage, and besmirch,” the couple said.
