WATCH: ‘From radio queen to royal queen’: Reactions as Anele Mdoda ties the knot

TV and radio personality Anele Mdoda has reportedly married Bonelela “Buzza” James, a respected lawyer and Xhosa royal from the AbaThembu tribe.

The pair tied the knot this past weekend, and videos and images of their traditional wedding ceremony have gone viral on social media.

In the visuals, Anele and Bonelela are dressed in stunning Xhosa regalia, with their guests also dressed in theme.

The media personality has since shared snippets of the occasion on her Instagram Stories. She posted videos showing her loved ones at the wedding, along with a clip of cows.

‘God bless the union’

On Sunday, her close friend and fellow media personality Sizwe Dhlomo wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “Today was a good day. God bless the union. God bless the families.”

Fans have also posted congratulatory messages for Anele on X.

“Wishing them a happy future together. Please, may we not hear of any celebrity marriage break-up. I pray that they will work on their marriage to build a lasting bond,” wrote Peddle Moose.

Other celebrities who attended the wedding include actresses Nomzamo Mbatha, Zikhona Zodlaka, Connie Ferguson, and former Miss South Africa Basetsana Kumalo.
