It is evident that international singer Kelly Rowland is loved in Mzansi and the star loves the country just as much.

Rowland is planning to travel in the year 2022 and she asked fans on Twitter where she should visit and South Africa was one of the top answers.

“I love it there! What part of South Africa?”, she asked.

The last time Kelly was in South Africa was in 2018. She landed in Cape Town during the time of the Global Citizen concert. There were hopes she would perform with Beyoncé, and the treat of a Destiny Child’s reunion, but that did not occur.

Beyonce and Jay Z headlined the star-studded concert which included the likes of Ed Sheeran, Chris Martin, Pharrell, Cassper Nyovest, and Sho Madjozi.

Her appreciation for the country also extends to her love for renowned South African artist Nelson Makamo. She showed her support by attending his exhibition titled BLUE in Los Angeles.

Kelly is still reminiscing about her trip to SA and locals advised her where she should go next and places to avoid.

Tourist favourites Eastern Cape, Mpumalanga, and Durban came up as the top suggestions for Kelly’s SA tour.

Inevitably, anytime Kelly’s name trends on local timelines, Anele Mdoda’s name is dragged into it as well.

The radio personality’s “beef” with Kelly is well documented after Mdoda commented negatively on Kelly’s appearance a few years ago. Mdoda claimed that Kelly owes her beauty to make-up, adding that she has “receipts” (slang for proof) of what she was saying and proceeded to post a side by side image of Kelly with and without make-up on.

Since then Twitter users have never allowed Anele to forget about that, nor forgiven her for this comment. The negative comments continue and so do the beauty comparisons of the two.

Some tweeps think it’s time for the two to meet and settle whatever misunderstandings they have.
