Amor Vittone was one of the country’s leading ladies back in the early 2000’s when her album Voluit reached Gold selling status in 2006, and also earned her a Sama nomination.
The South African singer married former Springbok rugby captain, Joost van der Westhuizen in 2002, which only saw her become more popular. The couple had a daughter and a son together and was voted South Africa’s most popular couple at the Starin-U Kids Awards in 2004.
Joost and Amor’s fairytale lasted for eight years before the former Springbok great started divorce proceedings against the singer in 2011.
It was also during that year when Joost was diagnosed with motor neurone disease and the couple’s divorce was never finalised as he was too ill to proceed with the divorce. The former Springbok scrum half passed away on 6 February 2017.
The singer then seemed to have somewhat disappeared from the limelight, briefly making headlines in 2018 when she contested Joost’s last will and testament.

A new beginning for Amor Vittone
Now, six years after his death, Amor is looking like her radiant self again on the arm of her new man, plastic surgeon Dr Charles Serrurier.
The singer has always been very private about her dating life, so it was a welcome surprise to her fans and followers when she ‘introduced’ her new man to them.
Sharing a black and white photo of herself and Dr Serrurier, Amor simply captioned the post: “My man #drcharlesserrurier”.
This new revelation saw the likes on her Instagram posts almost doubling with fans and followers congratulating her and wishing her happiness for her new relationship.
In March, the singer and her doctor went to Europe on holiday, stopping in her father’s hometown Italy during their travels.
The smitten couple also stopped in Saudi Arabia to watch the Formula 1 racing.

The singer’s happiness didn’t end there though, and her new fairytale life continued when she bagged an award for the first time in many years on Tuesday, 4 April.
She won the award for the best choreographer and 25+ year achievement at the recent Afri-Indie Music Awards.
The singer looked radiant in a black and purple Diaan Daniels Couture gown as she received her award.
