AKA, real name Kiernan Jordan Forbes, took to twitter to complain that concert promoters provide better sound equipment for international acts and expect local artists to use equipment that was “60% less adequate”, the Sowetan reported.
The rapper also claimed the local artists who performed at the MillerBoomtown were mistreated – even though the event’s publicist told the Sowetan he was not in the local act line up.
“Local artist were told if they walked on Kendrick’s ramp he wouldn’t perform…F*&ck. That s*&t,” he tweeted.
He also apparently announced he would no longer be willing to be an opening act for international artists, claiming there was nothing more to gain.
The rapper has since deleted his tweets but not before it created a stir on twitter:
Are international artists treated better than local artists? We want to hear from you.
