AKA apologises to his fans

“It’s well documented that with genius comes a touch of madness.”

This was just one of the many tweets posted by AKA addressing the claims that he has been involved in various violent outbursts.

He decided to take on his critics as well as the gossip mill by speaking about the three incidents that have the Twittersphere in a frenzy: slapping long-time rival Cassper Neyovest, hitting a man with a champagne bottle and pushing a rowdy fan offstage.
“This bottle incident? … A false, sensationalist, poorly researched story combined with my team not entertaining bullsh*t,” AKA told his Twitter followers of the allegations that he assaulted a patron at Cacoon Lounge in Sandton.
He also tweeted about the now infamous slap he gave Cassper Nyovest, making reference to their ongoing beef by saying, “Listen, this saga has been running for 2 years now. At some point, it was bound to happen. In hindsight, I regret it.”

As for the incident where he appeared to Hulk out and shove a fan who jokingly jumped onstage, back into the crowd, he had this to say: “I reacted that way because I had worked very hard on that show. I felt my work was being disrespected, so I reacted.”
He apologised to any fans who he may have disappointed and urged fans to focus on his “awesome” music.

“From now on I’ll try better,” he tweeted.
