Smiling Shudu is ‘body goals’ in luminous orange bikini

The Miss World finale, which was postponed in December, will now take place on 16 March 2022 at the Puerto Rico Coliseum Jose Miguel Agrelot.

Former Miss SA Shudufhadzo Musiḓa is the picture of perfection, even after the festive season that usually sees most people gaining some extra kilos around the waist.

Shudu, as she’s commonly known, arrived back in South Africa on 19 December after the Miss World broadcast finale, which was set to take place on 16 December in Puerto Rico, had to be temporarily postponed due to several staff and contestants having tested positive for Covid-19.

Taking to Instagram upon her return Shudu thanked the Miss World Organization for a beautiful experience in Puerto Rico and assured her fans that “the race” is not over and that she will be going back later this year to spread “some of that Shudu magic there [in Puerto Rico]”.

New date set for Miss World finale

The Miss World pageant finale and coronation is now set to take place in March this year at the Puerto Rico Coliseum Jose Miguel Agrelot.

“The Miss World Organization is pleased to announce March 16, 2022, as the rescheduled date for the Miss World 2021 global telecast and its 70th anniversary finale live from the Puerto Rico Coliseum Jose Miguel Agrelot,” the organization said in a media statement.

Shudu is still smiling

After a short period of social media silence, Shudu’s fans were over the moon to see a new post from their favourite beauty queen.

Posting beautiful photos of herself wearing a gold-patterned Natalia Jeffreys gown, designed by former Miss Universe SA Natasha Joubert, fans and followers were delighted to see fresh content from Shudu.

Former Miss Universe Margaret Gardiner was one of the first to take to the comments section to send her ‘sister’ strength and courage.

“I’m sending such warm wishes to you. I cannot imagine how tough this has been for you. Strength and courage,” Gardiner wrote.

South African fashion designer, Gert Johan Coetzee, also took to social media to show Shudu some love.

“May light always surround you,” he captioned a post of Shudu wearing a beautiful white beaded dress, one of his designs.

Ready for the year ahead

Shudu might have temporarily stumbled over a hurdle after the postponement of the Miss World pageant, but it looks like she is full of positivity and ready to take on the new year.

“Super excited for the year ahead. To let go and let God,” she wrote on Instagram on Sunday.

Yesterday she delighted her fans with stunning pictures of her smiling on a white sandy beach wearing an orange bikini showing off her beautiful curves.

Countless celebrities including Pearl Modiadie, DJ Zinhle, Linda Mtoba and Tshepi Vundla took to the comments section to show Shudu some love.
