And action…as Mam’ Mkhize starts her acting career

Astute businesswoman and reality show star adds actress to her list of accomplishments

The promo for Uzalo season 7 is out and guess who takes the spotlight? None other than well-known businesswoman Shawn Mkhize. What this means is that the soccer and construction mogul is joining South Africa’s most watched soapie.

This comes after the success of her reality series Kwa Mam’ Mkhize, where she stole the show after opening up her exorbitant mansion to millions of viewers.  Many instantly fell in love with her and how humble she is, despite being wealthy. Now, Mam’ Mkhize wants to show Mzansi that she is more than just a businesswoman but a woman of many hidden talents.

“Shauwn Mkhize is going to be appearing on Uzalo on Thursday, 4 March 2021. She will be playing the role of a mysterious, wealthy woman, with her eye on the coveted Kwa Mashu Kingdom Church,” SABC 1 publicist Phillip Mabitsela divulges.

Although she will be joining the telenovela when the new season starts, she won’t be around for long as it is a cameo role.  And understandably so, as Shawn dabbles in the business world and holds leadership roles- which can be demanding.

While many are wondering where she gets the credentials for acting from, Mam’ Mkhize doesn’t look like someone who would care to offer an any explanation to anyone. It looks like she is following the advice she once gave on twitter that, “To accomplish great things in life we must not only act but also dream, not only plan but believe all is well and remember perfection is boring and becoming better is where the fun is.”

One thing that is definitely evident is that following her divorce from Sbu Mpisane, Shawn is out there and having all the fun in world trying different things including acting.
