Rhythm City actress Itumeleng Bokaba stuns in new maternity shoot

The actress who started out playing schoolgirl Mampho is all grown up.

The actress behind the role of one of Rhythm City’s most popular school girls, Mampho, is all grown up and she’s ready to welcome a child of her own.

Although Itumeleng Bokaba began acting in 1996, at the tender age of three, she first made her appearance on the eTV soapie back in 2012.

She also previously worked as a Yo.tv Land presenter alongside Trending on 3 host Musa Mthombeni.

The 26-year-old made headlines exactly a week ago when she announced that she was expecting a baby by posting images of an ultrasound as well as the words “coming soon.”

She followed that up with all the pics from the maternity shoot she had with two seemingly unique themes.

The first had a very gold, African and Aztec inspired look, similar to Beyonce during her baby shower when she was expecting her twins.

The second look that Bokaba pulled off was a very dark, sexy, lacy one.

Her comments were flooded with a ton of affirming and positive messages.

Maternity photo shoots are a relatively new concept despite the iconic image of a very pregnant Demi Moore appearing nude on the cover of Vanity Fair back in 1991.

Though a few famous faces embraced their baby bumps more openly in the years following Demi’s cover shoot, maternity photoshoots only became more mainstream with the advent of social media.

While many moms want to simply mark the moment, others have said the shoots help them see their new bodies in a more flattering light, therefore helping them adjust to how they look and feel during pregnancy.
