The three day Festival is still more than 11 weeks away but the allure of artists such as Erykah Badu and Jonas Gwangwa has already led to all weekend passes being snapped up.
Commenting on the demand for tickets festival organizer Rashid Lombard told The Daily Voice, “The demand is unprecedented”.
He added, “While each year tickets sell out faster than the year before, this anniversary year is a clear indication of the esteem the festival holds not only with locals, but with international visitors.
‘Whether you are attending the Festival or registering for one of our training and development courses, ‘the early bird catches the worm,'” he said.
Day passes to the Festival, which takes place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre on the weekend of 28-29 March, are expected to be sold out within days.
