The cries of Tamia fans across Gauteng have been heard by local promoters G21 Live and Vertex Events who added an additional show to the singer’s South African tour dates.
Originally scheduled to perform between 4 and 8 July, beloved RnB singer Tamia will also take to the stage on Sunday, 9 July, at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria.
The announcement comes after the Pretoria leg of her tour sold out earlier this week, leading many to take to social media to express their disappointment at missing out on the opportunity to snag tickets.
Tamia’s South African tour dates
The 2023 tour will be the fourth time in a decade that Canadian-born songstress Tamia Marilyn Washington Hill will be returning to South Africa.
Tamia has released multiple albums, collaborated with several prominent international musical icons, and is well known for her philanthropic work within the music industry over the span of her career.
She is best known for hits like Imagination, So Into You, and Stranger in my House.
At the time of writing, the first Pretoria show – set for 8 July – was completely sold out, Cape Town’s 4 July show was 80% sold and Durban’s 7 July show was 78% sold.
Limited tickets for this seated concert are still available at Ticketpro and range from R390 to R1 490.

“Due to a huge public outcry following our sold-out announcement on social media yesterday, we decided, if possible, to extend the tour in Gauteng. The venue was available and post discussions with Tamia and her management team late last night, her availability for an extra show was confirmed,” said organisers in a statement.
According to organisers, the singer also expressed much excitement and delight in staying slightly longer in South Africa.
