And the SAMA nominees are…

The South Africa Music Awards (SAMA) 2016 nominee list is out, and now its just up to fans to begin making sure that their favourite muso’s walk away with the prestigious award.

The competition seems extremely tight this year, with some fans up in arms and not pleased with the list and others adamant on who they believe will take most awards. Similar to the latest Metro FM awards, the new man in the hip hop scene, artist Emtee is nominated in most of the awards, leaving his followers excited and speculating that the hip hop star will walk away with more than one award. Emtee won four metro FM awards this year, and since then, the musician has become a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.

Other major artist that got nominated in a few categories include, renowned DJ Black Coffee, hip hop star Riky Rick, music sensation Nathi and Motswako’s first lady Fifi Cooper. The announcement for the prestigious ‘Song of the Year’ category will be announced on Friday at 19:30, during SABC 1 music show, Live Amp.

The South African Music will be held in Durban this year.
