Actors Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson, starring as themselves, are stuck in Franco’s house after a raucous housewarming party. While on a booze run, Rogen and Baruchel witness people being swept up by beams of blue light. Then they notice that their surroundings are on fire and there's a gaping hole in the earth.
They return to Franco’s house and, unworthy of rapture, the friends remain on Earth, fighting to survive. The film is rude and lewd, hence the absurdly detailed age restriction. From kicking a decapitated head around the room to a 10-minute conversation about who gets to rape Emma Watson, also a guest star, it seems anything goes with this lot.
There’s the possibility that you’ll find yourself laughing at the stupidity on screen, but a giggle here and there is not enough to recommend this film. For the most part, it’s just a collection of foul-mouthed stunts.
