Horror stories about demon fish from the watery depths of our oceans attacking humans are nothing new.
Steven Spielberg made a meal – and a fortune – from Jaws in the ’70s and a slew of similar type escapades has invaded cinema screens ever since.
47 Meters Down: Uncaged is a sloppy production, filmed through a murky lens, involving four stupid teenagers (Sophie Nélisse, Corinne Foxx, Brianne Tju, Sistine Stallone) who go diving in an uncharted territory.

While happily swimming through the underwater ruins of a past Mayan civilisation, they encounter a deadly shark species that has survived in these tunnels – and these creatures are hungry for fresh meat.
There are no redeeming features in this unimaginative mess of a movie and I could not wait for this insipid bunch of characters to meet their maker.
