South Africa’s most celebrated social, fashion and sporting event will take place on the 30th of January in Cape Town.
The theme for this year’s J&B Met is A Rare Blend, which should give fashionistas plenty of leeway to come up with dazzling outfits for the day. A hot trend for 2016 is denim. For the gents, an idea for the Met is an all denim ensemble. What better way to create a rare blend of smart with casual by wearing formal wear made from the season’s most casual fabric?
Fashionistas can also choose to blend metal with liquids, leather with glitter or psychedelic with industrial. Go on, be creative, bring together that which has never been blended to create an outfit that is one-of-a-kind.
One of the event’s biggest highlights is the ‘Most Elegant Couple’ Competition. Show up in your dazzling, Rare Blend outfit and you may just get chosen to enter on the day and find yourself strutting off with an array of incredible prizes.
Take a look at what people wore to last year’s MET which took place under the theme Made for the Mix.
To celebrate this fantastic event, The Citizen – together with J&B – is giving away what can only be described as a 2016 Met dream. Trust us, you don’t want to miss out on this one.
