East Rand Mall Heritage Day Competition

Simply buy The Citizen on 24 September, and put your till slip in the allocated entry box and you could be the winner of an electric golf caddy to the value of R4 000 with compliments from The Citizen.

Ten shoppers present at the Heritage Day concert will be called up to the stage and the winner with the best dressed Heritage Day outfit will be decided by a panel of judges.

Participation

1. The competition is conducted by East Rand Mall. JHI (and its contractors), Mustard Seed Relationship Marketing CC, tenants of East Rand Mall, their employees, sponsors, family members and suppliers are not permitted to enter this competition.
2. This competition is only open to legal residents of the Republic of South Africa.
3. Shoppers must be dressed in their best Heritage Day outfit in order to qualify for the competition.
4. 10 of the best dressed customers will be called onto the stage and a winner will be decided by a judging panel.

Prizes

1. East Rand Mall and its tenants will be sponsoring the prizes.
2. Prizes are not transferable or negotiable nor redeemable for cash.
3. East Rand Mall reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the original prize is unavailable.
4. East Rand Mall is not responsible for any damaged prize items after signature of receipt. Any dispute that may arise in respect of the prize will be between the winner and sponsor of the relevant prize.
5. Prizes may be subject to additional terms and conditions not mentioned hereunder, but in accordance with relevant South African legislation that the winners must comply with on accepting the prize.

Winners

1. The winners’ names might be published on the East Rand Mall website or Facebook page.
2. The winners may be asked to allow their names and photographs to be used for public relations purposes and advertising, but is not obliged to do so and may decline this invitation.
3. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

General rules

1. The participant unconditionally and irrevocably indemnifies and holds harmless East Rand Mall and its successors, employees, officers, suppliers, contractors, agents, consultants, directors and shareholders against all and any losses, claims, proceedings, actions, damages, (direct, consequential or otherwise), liability, demands, expenses, legal costs (on an attorney and own client basis), medical costs or other costs howsoever arising out of, based upon, or in connection with (directly or indirectly) the participants participation in the competition, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
2. If a participant contravenes these rules, the participant may be disqualified from the competition.
3. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
4. Additional costs relating to the prizes, if any, and incurred by the winners in their own volition, are the sole responsibility of the winners.
5. East Rand Mall reserves the right to cancel or alter any aspect of the competition at any time at its sole discretion without liability.
6. Participants in the competition understand and agree that in order to offer the competition East Rand Mall must collect and use personal information about participants for its Facebook and website mentions.
