Unemployment increases to worst level in 11 years
A massive 6.7 million people are now out of work.

Stats SA announced on Tuesday that the dismal unemployment rate has increased by one percentage point since last quarter to 29.1%, the worst it’s been since 2008.
The actual number of unemployed people has increased from 4.5 million in 2009 to 6.7 million now.
South Africa’s #unemployment rate increased by 0,1 of a percentage point to 29,1% in Q3 of 2019. This is the highest unemployment rate since Q1 of 2008.

Black African #women are the most vulnerable with an #unemployment rate of over 30%. Followed by Coloureds & Indians/Asians with a rate of 23,7% & 18,2% respectively.
