Tlou Lodge to go on auction

Two hours from Johannesburg and a one and a half hour drive from Pretoria, between Bela-Bela and Thabazimbi, the reserve nestles in the shadows of the Waterberg Mountains. Mabalingwe offers a retreat from the city in the tranquil surrounds of indigenous Limpopo bushveld. The reserve comprises 12 500 hectares of prime game land, with the big five among its 32 species of wildlife.

The property to be auctioned in the greater Mabalingwe is known as Tlou Lodge and Tlou Conference Venue. There are nine double-storey units with three en-suite bedrooms, a living area and kitchen. There are 13 smaller units with two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one en-suite) and a small lounge.

There are shade-net carports for guests and paved walkways to the units. Each of the three bedroom units has a boma and the smaller units have braai facilities.

The lodge is within walking distance of the conference centre, which can cater for up to 250 delegates.

It can be used as one large hall or divided into two separate venues. It is also the ideal setting for an unforgeable wedding ceremony with a walkway connecting the chapel to the venue area.

There are two separate thatched decks outside the venue for banqueting and catering. The venue also has a kitchen, ablution and storage facilities and accommodation
units for staff.

The lodge and conference venue is within walking distance of the main swimming pool, farm shop, tennis and squash courts and a short driving distance from restaurants and bars. The units and venue will be offered separately and as a going concern with all the loose assets included.

> These properties will be sold at the Tlou Lodge conference venue; the auction will proceed at 11am.
