Storage to be sold

That’s the news from Park Village Auctions (PVA), who has been tasked with auctioning the property which once served as a self-storage establishment.

Situated at 805 Old Pretoria Main Road, this property features a varied collection of storage facilities spread out across the basement, ground floor, first floor and second floor respectively. In total, the property features 231 storage units. The property also features a two bedroom apartment with a full bathroom as well as three semi-refurbished studio apartments.

Access to the top floor and basement storage areas can be gained via a ramp. A goods lift services the first and second floors. The entire property is fully walled, and features security measures such as CCTV. Ample parking is another notable feature. The property is zoned for business one usage and measures 7436m2. The gross lettable area is 8 500m2.

Given the nature of the property, PVA’s Nathan Foukx believes that it will appeal to storage orientated entities interested in expanding their interests. That said, he says entrepreneurial investors could potentially envisage another use for it and convert it accordingly.

Notes Foukx: “A number of elements work in this property’s favour. Its high visibility position within a well-established commercial node is one plus point; the fact that it lies within close proximity of a number of major business hubs such as Sandton is another.

“Interested parties would also do well to keep in mind that it’s geared to go, which is a real advantage given the zoning and electrical delays being experienced in some areas. All that would be needed to bring out this property’s full potential is some TLC and a re-branding exercise.”

The property will be auctioned on site on June 5 at 11am.
