With more people enjoying the option of working remotely, you may find that you frequently connect to public Wi-Fi networks, especially if you work from malls and restaurants. However, these free networks do not have strong security measures in place and are used by many different people every day. This makes it easier for other people who use the same network to gain access to your activity. If you are going to use online banking or make a purchase online, rather wait until you are home or have access to a secure, password-protected network.
