So says Dr Bertie Saunderson of Park Village Auctions (PVA), which has been mandated to auction the bulk of the properties situated in the quaint Namaqualand towns of Kleinzee and Koingnaas.
Kleinzee and Koingnaas were recently proclaimed, which has opened up the towns to private ownership. Both towns are well-established, feature good infrastructure and offer a healthy mix of properties, making it possible to escape the rat race without sacrificing all the conveniences of modern day living.
Facilities located within the towns include among others, community recreation clubs, squash courts, libraries, churches, postal services, schools, a clinic, a hospital building (currently not operating), gyms, a golf club, office blocks, tennis courts, training facilities, pottery studios, restaurants, grocery stores and angling clubs. A number of guesthouses and caravan parks have sprung up recently.
Come auction day, approximately 55 residential properties in Kleinzee and 62 houses in
Koingnaas will be reserved for purchase by Namaqualand residents in the three local municipalities. Bidders from other parts of the country are also invited to participate in the auction of up to 62 Kleinzee commercial/industrial/unimproved stands and residential properties. And 28 commercial/industrial/unimproved stands and residential properties will be auctioned in Koingnaas.
The auction will start at 9am on August 20 at the Kleinzee Recreation Club. Details: 082-529-8138 or www.parkvillageauctions.co.za.
