Partner in debut sale
The BEE-partner of Consolidated Auction Group, Zimele Auctioneers, will hold a maiden disposal on Tuesday when it brings a massive range of bank-repossessed plant and construction equipment to market.
Zimele, which takes its name from the isiZulu “standing on one’s own”, was launched in May.
“It’s taken a while though for the brand to take root,” says the company’s CEO, Chico da Silva, “but we’re glad to report we should be out of the starting blocks with a bang and not a whimper.”
Consolidated, with a 40% stake in the new brand, will auction off the assets of Kingdom Plant Hire that’s in liquidation and Mukuda Plant Hire, that’s undergoing closure, during the joint-venture disposal set down for Zimele’s premises on the corner of Exodus and Victoria streets in Germiston.
Bidders can expect no fewer than 20 late-model mechanical horses at this auction. Freightliner, Volvo and Mercedes-Benz are but some of the brands that will be flying the flag at this unprecedented disposal.
Also for sale are tippers, a range of forklifts by Hyster, Toyota and Komatsu; a 2007 FAW 33.330 mixer and a 2008 FAW tipper.
The massive volume of assets is further in evidenced by the 150-250 kVA CAT standby generators, 2004-2008 drop-side and crane trucks, late-model Terex and Volvo TLBs, triple jay concrete dumpers, 2009 John Deere 6115D tractors, Daewoo SL30 excavators, tri-axle and super-link side-tippers, 8000 and 15 000 Man and Mercedes-Benz water-tankers, a 2009 Vermeer TC4A trench diggers, eight hydraulic concrete breakers and 25 Bomag & Wacker 65 and 35 walk-behind rollers.
The auction starts at 10.30am on the corner of Victoria and Exodus streets in Germiston.
