That’s the news from PVA’s LeRoy Augustyn, who explains that, in addition to “the usual” quality trucks and trailers bidders have come to associate with auctions of this nature, a selection of salvage vehicles and miscellaneous items will also now form part of the mix.
Rigid trucks up for auction include Toyota Dyna 7-094 and 4-093, Hino 500 and 700 series, Isuzu FTR800 and FTM1200 and Tata 1518. A collection of Mercedes Benz Actros and Axor, Mitsubishi Fuso, MAN TGA, Nissan UD40/80/440/460, Iveco Stralis, International 7600/9800 and Freightliner Argosy truck tractors will also go under the hammer.
Trailers to be auctioned include SA Truck Bodies, Henred Fruehauf, Afrit and Motor Trail, flat deck, side tippers and Tautliner trailers. A McCormick XTX200 and New Holland FT75 tractors will pique the interest of those in agriculture.
A sizeable collection of earthmoving and construction equipment will be brought to market on the day. These assets comprise skidsteer loaders, excavators, backhoe loaders, Atlas Copco XAS97 and Ingersoll Rand 551, Mannesman Demag DS40 mobile compressors, Toyota 3- and 5-ton forklifts and a PMSA brick making machine.
A Chevrolet Corsa utility 1.4, Isuzu KB250, Toyota Quantum D4D panel van, a Chevrolet Cruze 1.6, assorted industrial mixers and stands, electric motors, shelving and a collection of salvage vehicles will add a different element to PVA’s truck auction mix. A number of matters stemming from various liquidations, including that of Wearcon Industries, will also be made available to the public come auction day, adds Augustyn.
The auction will take place at PVA’s truck yard at Nasrec on May 29 at 10.30am. Viewing will take place on May 28 from 10am to 4pm.
