Liquidation auction back on
After an 11th-hour intervention that stopped the liquidation disposal of an engineering company in Alrode, Asset Auctions has been given the go-ahead for the urgent Alberton auction.
Now set down for August 21, the stressed assets of CEM Engineering were earmarked for sale on July 31.
Some 500 lots worth about R10 million will have to be sold at the sale. Top of the range are two machine centres by Quaser, a renowned brand leader of these highly specialised items, with each being worth about R1.5m brand new.
In addition bidders can also expect at least two more machine centres made by Seiki and Sumermax. Apart from the obvious top-billing items like the machine centres, buyers can for example also expect to find CNC lathes by the likes of Takisawa, Ikegai, and Takang.
Also worth mentioning is the Victor V-Centre and a Caxton 60t press.
An Acme grinder, welding plant, 50m power-coating plant, full metrology lab, phosphate plant, the contents of a store, office equipment, vehicles, inspection room equipment, as well as drawings and moulds bring up the rear without necessary being the least because it’s mentioned last.
The liquidation auction will be held on the premises of CEM Engineering, corner of Swartkoppies and Potgieter Roads, and Dean Baldwin of Asset Auctions will start calling for bids from 10.30am
