Keeping up with the Joneses

Over the past 30 years, Park Village Auctions (PVA) has had its finger on the pulse of market trends.

In keeping with this tradition, PVA has made a point of supplying sought-after capital equipment.

According to a recent report, used bulldozers, excavators, wheel-loaders, tractor-loader backhoes (TLB’s) rollers, graders and articulated dump trucks (ADT’s) are among the most sought-after local capital equipment and PVA auctions these on a regular basis.

“These machines tend to be in high demand as they play a crucial role in the construction arena,” says PVA’s LeRoy Augustyn. “That this sector is experiencing an uptick in activity is translating into even greater demand.”

Augustyn points out that American, European and Asian brands are generally the most popular but demand for local capital equipment is on the rise as manufacturers price their equipment more competitively.

He adds that while new capital equipment manufacturers and suppliers are doing a good job of providing the market with variety and quality, the used capital equipment dealer network is doing an equally good job of leveraging trade-ins on new equipment sales which is galvanising the purchase cycle.

PVA’s online auction platform has greatly boosted the company’s ability to auction equipment of this nature.
