Gear up for some good deals

Due to take place on August 28, PVA will bring to market a large collection of rigid trucks, truck tractors, trailers, earthmoving equipment, LDVs and miscellaneous items.

Under the banner of rigid trucks and truck tractors, PVA will auction Toyota Dyna 7-094 and 4-093, Hino 500 and 300 series, Isuzu, Tata 1518, a large fleet of late model Freightliner Argosy truck tractors, Mercedes Benz Actros and Axor, Mitsubishi Fuso, MAN TGA, Nissan UD 440/460 Iveco Stralis and International 7600/9800.

Trailers and earthmoving equipment to be auctioned include a large fleet of flatdeck, link trailers, SA Truck Bodies, Henred Fruehauf, Afrit and Motor Trail flat-deck, side-tippers, Tautliner trailers, skidsteer loaders, excavators and backhoe loaders. A large fleet of Hyundai single-cab LDVs, Isuzu KB single-cab LDVs and Diamond Wire cutting saws are also for sale.

According to PVA’s LeRoy Augustyn, buying trends are very much in favour of used vehicles. “The economy is still on rocky ground, not just locally but around the world, and fleet owners have taken to purchasing pre-owned trucks and commercial vehicles rather than new ones.”
