Coming under the hammer of Chico da Silva will be more than 6 000 tons of processed and bulk steel, two fully automated shaving briquettors, a 160-ton scrap baler, two 700-ton shear balers, 11 scrap bags, two massive magnetite grabs, four steel shearing attachments, two massive rotary crushers, a CAT 375 ultra-high demolition excavator, new concrete pulverisers; Doosan, Volva and Hyundai excavators, late-model skip trucks, articulated trucks, containers, buckets, hammers, a fully reconditioned container-tilter weigh bridge, an automatic shredder, cable granulators, tri-axle trailers, slopers, tractors, forklifts, LDVs, and 20/40ft steel containers.
“It’s a rare one this,” says Da Silva. “We’re expecting a good turnout for a great auction day jam-packed with volume and variety.”
Set down for 15 Stevenson Street in Klipfontein, Witbank at 11am, the scrap metal sale on October 29 is not Consolidated’s only outing in Mpumalanga next week.
The previous day, also starting at 11am, and kicking off with fixed assets as usual, Da Silva will first ask for bids on an industrially zoned piece of land that is 15 686m2 in size.
Once the investment side of business in this auction featuring two liquidations has been concluded, Da Silva will move on to construction and earthmoving equipment, side-tippers, crane trucks, tippers, mechanical horses, trucks, tractors, workshop equipment, associated equipment and machinery. This auction takes place at 13 Insimbi Street in Extension 11, Middelburg.
Also on Tuesday, but starting at 10.30am and set down for 54 Pandora Street in Phoenix, Durban, Consolidated will bring to market a wide range of sedans, single- and double-cab LDVs, as well as panel vans.
At this auction, bidders can expect the entire ABC of cars to be on offer: Alfas, bakkies from Nissan and Toyota, Citroëns and everything else in the alphabet.
November starts for Consolidated with another bank-repossessed car auction on the first. This time the sale takes place in Germiston at Consolidated’s nerve centre at 10 President Street. Once again the who’s who of sedans, panel vans, bakkies and more can be expected. This auction also starts at 11am.
And November 6, starting at 10.30am, Consolidated will hold
a group-restructuring auction at 336 Shaft Street in Stormill, Extension 2 in Roodepoort.
At this auction, bidders will have the opportunity to invest in a multi-use industrial property almost 14 000m2 in size. Apart from its prime location, its high-yield potential is evident by its 8 895m2 of gross lettable space.
Its office space alone is almost 2 000m2, with a slightly bigger yard. In addition to this double-storey office block and double-volume workshop that includes four 10-ton overhead cranes, buyers can also bid on distribution fleet assets, windscreen stocks, glass processing machinery, office furniture and allied machinery.
