Zuma approves judge-led inquiry into Sars

The details of the inquiry, including the judge’s name, are yet to be announced.


President Jacob Zuma has agreed to establish an inquiry into the South African Revenue Service (Sars), Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba announced on Tuesday.

Speaking at a media briefing in Kempton Park, Johannesburg, Gigaba said the inquiry would be led by a judge and would look into tax administration and revenue challenges at the tax authority.
