RACE 3 NO 6 TULIP TREE – WIN

Stuart Pettigrew’s charge has run three times and finished runner-up in the last two. He was narrowly beaten last time and was a touch unlucky. This is not the strongest of fields and he is confidently expected to make amends.

VALES BET

RACE 7 NO 2 GOLDEN ASPEN – PLACE BET

This filly has had five runs at this course for two wins and two places and is in good form. Trainer Corne Spies says she has ability but he is concerned about the jump up in class. However, he would be disappointed if she does not finish in the top three.

She is well drawn and has Marco van Rensburg, who has won on her twice, in the irons.
