He studied communications and media studies at the University of South Africa (UNISA).
He has nearly 40 years of experience obtained at national and international media outlets, including East Cape News, Daily Dispatch, Sowetan, AP, and BBC.
He has mentored numerous young journalists over the years.
Eric is the first Winner of the Yadhana Jadoo Citizen Journalist of the Year Award in 2018, and many others.
