Chulumanco Mahamba

Chulumanco has been a digital night shift supervisor at The Citizen since 2023.

Her reporting spans national news, politics, crime and human interest stories.

She started her career as an intern at Independent Media and at The Star; where she acted as a content producer and senior reporter.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Journalism and Media Studies from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Chulu is unapologetically Xhosa and feminist.
