After cutting his teeth in newspapers in the 1980s, Brendan worked for the Argus Africa News Service, covering Africa for 10 years.
He held various editorial management positions, including at the Sunday Tribune, Sunday Independent, The Star and Saturday Star, from 1990 until 2016. He has also worked for various global print and electronic news media organisations, including the Voice of America, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and Canadian Press, as well as the Daily Mail in London.
