Valhalla MMA & Fitness based in Alberton North recently took part in the Submission Kings/Queens/Kids Tournament that was held at the Walter Sisulu Hall in Randburg.
The academy entered a small adults team and a large kids team of over twenty.
“We managed an overall third place with a medal count of five gold medals, four silver medals and two bronze medals,” said head coach Shane Carr.
“We are extremely proud of our grapplers. Our kids team always brings the action and the medals home.
“We have one more tournament left for the year at the Submission Kings/Queens/Kids series and we hope to place overall in the top three gyms for the year.”
This is something coach Carr encourages all kids to take part in.
“We would like to thank all our kid’s parents for their support and our entire team for working so hard and achieving so much, they all make our brand strong,” said Carr.
