VIDEO: Sewerage everywhere

Their whole backyard is covered in sewer.

A resident, Nicole Ribeiro, has been sitting with a sewage problem for over three weeks now.

She has been in contact with the municipality for approximately two weeks, on the phone daily, and still no one has sorted out this health hazard.Their whole backyard is covered in sewerage.

“On the outer part of the complex (11 La Chateau) at the corner of Johann van der Merwe Drive and Michelle Avenue, Meyersdal, they are laying pipes and in the process they managed to block the drainage/sewage. This resulted in the human waste flowing onto our property,” she said.

CLEANED UP: Workers came on August 22 to clean this mess up, but no high pressure hose or disinfectant were used and some of the mess is still there.

She has five-year-old twins who are unable to play outside due to this problem.

Employees from the municipality who attended to the matter (reference: 2067315) said that they needed to get a high-pressure system and would come back within an hour’s time, but never returned.

IT STINKS: Sewer in the back of the yard.

On Monday, Augustus 22 workers came to their house and cleaned the sewage, but what bothers her is that they did not use a high-pressure system or disinfectant. Thus there are certain places still with sewage and toilet paper.
